Baby Urchins in the Bahamas

It's settlement season and our team has been busy monitoring the collectors we deployed around New Providence Island, Bahamas. With support from the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, we've been tracking where and when Diadema antillarum larvae are settling.

We are seeing considerable differences in settlement rates between our sample sites. Understanding these patterns is key to scaling up our restoration efforts. If we can identify the environmental factors that drive higher settlement success, we can make smarter decisions about where to focus future deployments.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue monitoring through the season and sharing what we find.
